ALICE IN COMPUTATION LAND
DAY 1- MONDAY
(look at the aliens from left to right)
Hello! Today I went to Camp Alice and we learned different codes on terminal and using HTML
to make web sites like the one I'm making now. :)
We learned some history too from Mrs.Kathy who said that the reason short words are even shortened
in code is because back in the days when code was being invented, the keys were very hard to press down. A shortcut I
learned was that you can type some of a word and click tab to finish the word!
My favorite part of the day was probably the lunch,
DAY 2 - TUESDAY
Click here for me and Jenny's fabulous scratch game
^^^^^ I attatched some amazing photos we took today ^^^^^
Today I made a game with Jenny on Scratch. It's about a scuba diver holding a huge donut underwater.
The scuba diver moves around and random frosting and sprinkles float down in the water and the scuba diver tries to catch it.
We also wrote down steps to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that would have to be extremely
detailed or else making the sandwich could be performed incorrectly. It showed that even the simplest things on a
computer could be performed wrong with steps that are missed.
Oh and I turned 14.
DAY 3 - WEDNESDAY
Today we made animated videos in a program called "alice". It was basically a mini movie that Jenny and I made about about this doll
that is possessed and a crib that follows her around. We also watched the beginning of a movie called Spirited Away.
I also learned how to add buttons like the one above with the cat. We also tok group pictures.
DAY 4 - THURSDAY

Today I made a maze on scratch where Alice is running through the maze while a card is chasing her. We're also going to get ice cream and
visit the computers tomorrow.
It was a bit strange but the "movie" worked so I guess it was okay.
Here's a link to the "movie" (or whatever you call what I made);

DAY 5 - FRIDAYYY
This camp has helped me greatly for my future high school skill. It has prepared me well for my Web Design class that
I will be taking next year for my freshman year. I learned a lot on how to use html code and already memorized the codes for images, fonts, colors, and a lot more.
We're about to leave to the take a tour of the computer rooms and machines and then for ice cream in 5 minutes and then our websites will be
judged to see who will win some prize or something.
